Andrew Georgiou, Business Administrator Apprentice

Why did you start your career with Unilever?

Unilever is a land of opportunities – they’ve come a long way in making the world a better place but openly acknowledge there is still more work to be done.

What’s your proudest achievement at Unilever?

Launching and running the @Unilever global Instagram channel.

What do you love about working here?

The sense of pride when you see an idea of yours coming to life and being supported by a global company.

What surprised you the most when you started?

That the 100VE office has a rooftop terrace.

Which Unilever brand most interests you and why?

Dove. The self-esteem project is a game changer for people worldwide. It’s more than a brand, it taps into a social movement of re-defining beauty standards.

"It’s a lot easier to deal with the more demanding days when I know I can destress over a cup of coffee with my colleagues."

Rebecca Thompson, Digital Marketing Apprentice

Why did you start your career with Unilever?

I wanted to kick start my career in a global company that would provide me with progression and had great values at its core.

What’s your proudest achievement at Unilever?

I could probably only narrow it down to two moments! Firstly, launching UVolunteer – an internal volunteering platform that I helped to create with the goal of connecting employees to fantastic volunteering opportunities. And secondly, being asked to work on the Women In Tech network, which is a movement that aims to inspire Unilever’s female talent to succeed within technology.

What do you love about working here?

The people that I’ve been lucky enough to work with have made my experience for me. It’s a lot easier to deal with the more demanding days when I know I can destress over a cup of coffee with my colleagues.

What surprised you the most when you started?

Trying to get my head around the size of the company was hard for me at first. It seemed surreal that I was talking to and working with people from all over the world.

Which Unilever brand most interest you and why?

Love Beauty and Planet! Sustainability was one of the main things that attracted me to Unilever as a company and it’s great to see more brands like this emerging that are completely vegan and environmentally friendly. The products are great too!
