Are you looking to start or progress your career within Finance?
If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join our Finance Team as a Trainee Management Accountant.

The team

Central to our success as a Firm are of course our very talented lawyers, but they couldn't achieve their results without the ongoing support from our Finance team who have an essential role to play in growing the business and maintaining our financial performance.  Our Management Accounts Team are a crucial cog in our finance wheel; they analyse and interpret financial data to aid budget holders' and Partners' decision making processes in achieving business goals.

The role

You will be responsible for assisting in the production of routine daily, monthly and quarterly management information and analysing and interpreting financial data to produce non-routine management reports. You will also contribute to the quality production of daily reporting, monthly management accounts, fee earner statistics and other management information throughout the processes from target setting and journal entry through to management information production. You will assist with answering questions from colleagues around the business and other teams within the finance department.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you should be keen to learn, organised, ambitious, have good Excel skills and be numerically and analytically minded. You should be able to follow directions well but also use your initiative to improve processes and drive efficiencies. Although not essential, experience of working in a finance environment would be beneficial. In terms of educational requirements, we're looking for someone who has A Levels at grade A-C or equivalent.

What's in it for you?

As a Trainee Management Accountant, you will be offered the opportunity to enrol in an accountancy qualification training program such as AAT/CIMA in order to develop and progress towards becoming a qualified accountant. You will also join a supportive team who have a genuine interest in helping you grow and progress in the role. You will develop both accounting technical, personal and financial modelling skills through training, which will come from peer support, mentoring and in the form of a more structured program such as an Apprenticeship.  As mentioned above, we really value the ongoing development of our people and want them to enjoy long and successful careers with us. We actively encourage internal promotion. We want you to step out of your comfort zone, knowing that we're by your side to support you at each step.
