About the role
Do you have a passion for Technology and making it work? We’re looking for people who want to pursue a hands-on technical career working with financial services customers. People who can roll up their sleeves, get stuck in, and get things delivered for a large UK Based financial services customer. Sound like you?
As a Junior DevOps Engineer you will learn about Agile delivery and be part of a team delivering automation and DevOps expertise for the customer. The types of problems you’ll face will be varied and the solutions you help create will be innovative. It could be developing a continuous delivery pipeline, automating the configuration of infrastructure, or orchestrating a set of technical activities to make them repeatable.
It will be hard work, you will need to be resilient, but it will be rewarding. You’ll need to be the type of person who is up for a challenge and likes learning both on the job and in your own time. You don’t need to be studying a technical A-Level or Equivalent, but you will need to be able to demonstrate your passion for technology and explain how you’ve used it to solve problems.

- Identify appropriate technical solutions using both logical and creative thinking, and then work with the team to deliver them
- Have a foundation of technical skills which could include
Tools involved in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deliver (CI/CD) like Jenkin, Nexus and Git.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
What we look for:
- You don't need to be studying business or technology A-levels, but you must have a keen interest in both.
- You must have achieved at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above including Maths and English Language. We also except Level 2 Skills Tests as a GCSE equivalent in Maths and English.
- You will need to be mobile – base locations are across the UK (including but not limited to Greenock (Scotland), London, Hursley (near Winchester) and Portsmouth), however the work will be project based and typically you’ll find yourself working at a client site which requires extensive travel and staying away from home during the week.
