What is KPMG Business Services?

KPMG’s Business Services (KBS) function provides internal business services, advice and expertise to KPMG’s internal teams and is structured around three groups –

  • Business Partnering - providing strategic support and insight to our business leaders
  • Centres of Expertise - deep specialist expertise and delivery of transformation initiatives
  • Operational Excellence Hubs - delivering services and support that keeps our business running efficiently.

On this apprenticeship, you’ll work within our Operational Excellence Hubs (OEH), which are made up of innovative, agile and collaborative teams that deliver services to support KPMG colleagues in the delivery of their work.

KPMG Business Services Apprenticeship

OEH support the business through a variety of specialist teams, who work collaboratively to assist the business – dealing with customer queries, running day-to-day operations, managing records, generating reports and data providing executive assistant and administrative support.

On this two-year apprenticeship, based in our Birmingham office, you will spend at least two days per week working in the office. Thefirst year is based in Administration Services KPMG (ASK), supporting the delivery of core ASK services and project support. This varied experience will provide you with a unique and exciting opportunity to learn about the breadth of support that is provided to enable our colleagues and clients to succeed. On completion of your first foundation year, you may move into a different area of OEH for your second specialism year.

Training and Benefits

With the KPMG community by your side, you’ll have the support to grow in your own way, gaining learning for a lifetime. You’ll have access to funded, relevant professional qualifications or accreditations and an extensive programme of internal training geared towards your career and personal development. On this apprenticeship, you’ll study for the Level Three Business Administration qualification.

We offer a competitive salary and a host of great benefits too, including 25 days’ holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday. What’s more, you can take up to six days of time off to take part in volunteering initiatives.

Our firm’s hybrid working model balances the flexibility of working from home with the importance of collaborating and learning in offices or at client sites. We trust our people to be where our clients need them to be, with our client-facing colleagues working together in person as often as needed. You’ll be empowered by the technology that supports us to work flexibly and our collaborative office spaces, building friendships and shared experiences, innovating, and learning together.
