What you’ll be doing

Our security team have with the expertise to deal with up to 6,500 cyber-attacks every day. With over 5,500 global customers, our work has a real impact all around the world. BT’s award-winning apprenticeship programme offers you the opportunity to gain qualifications, hands-on experience as well as personal and professional development.  You'll help to ensure that the world continues to connect safely as we look to protect our services, governments, FTSE 500 companies, and our millions of customers.   

You’ll be joining our SOC (Security Operation Centre) and working to make sure we’re defended against a wide variety of cyber threats and attacks. You’ll be reviewing things their tactics, techniques and procedures; contributing towards threat hunting and mitigate risks to the business. It’s a big job, but we’re confident you can do it.

We’ll also get you involved in managing cyber security issues and incidents and minimising the impact of any cyber issues. You’ll make sure our SOC is agile, effective and responsive, and work alongside your Area Manager to make sure pir processes and technology go beyond limits.

About the apprenticeship you’ll study for

As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you’ll study for a Level 4 apprenticeship called Cyber Technologist.

  • Your apprenticeship will last for 2 years.
  • You’ll spend a minimum of 20% of your time learning and studying.
