We are looking for new Apprentices to join our Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship scheme. As a first year trainee you will:

  • Have 48 weeks off the job training in our very own bespoke training facility, learning how to hack saw, file, turn, mill and assemble
  • Assist with customer trials and demonstrations of Silverson mixers
  • Have structured training within a class of 6 students maximum
  • 5 weeks paid holiday as well as bank holidays
  • Work 40 hours per week
  • Earn excellent rates of pay while you learn

The first year as a Trainee is workshop-based in our dedicated Training Facility.  Instruction in good working practice and Health & Safety is followed by training in practical skills.

You'll start with bench work, and progress to milling and manual turning.  Regular appraisals will ensure you're hitting learning targets.

To apply you will need G.C.S.Es in English, Maths and Science or a technology-based subject at Grade 5 or above.
