Mazars Financial Services Consulting is experiencing exciting growth and we have various opportunities for talented individuals to be based in the London office given the opportunities arising from increasing regulatory scrutiny, supervision and demand for external assurance.

This role is for an associate with exceptional attention to detail that is seeking to build a career in professional capacity. The role will sit within the Financial Services Consulting Team. The team are responsible for the day to day delivery of a Claim Audit Program for a large Bankruptcy Trust, based in the US.

A Claim Audit is a review of the decisions taken by an insurer on claims it has received. The main aim being to understand whether the decisions taken are in line with the rules set out within the policy.

Your typical day will vary between:

  • Participating in the delivery of the claim file review;

  • Conducting claims audits using Mazars’ approach, templates and tools;

  • Challenging inconsistencies in information provided and escalating issues to the manager;

  • Reviewing documentation against predetermined criteria;

  • Preparing written reports for the management team;

  • Identifying areas of improvement to the claim audit processes and presenting ideas and suggestions to the manager;

  • Engaging with a number of US based law firms in undertaking and assisting on process reviews.

What we are looking for

  • An enthusiastic and diligent individual who is able to work in a large team working to challenging deadlines

  • Excellent verbal skills with the ability to discuss complex ideas and present in a clear manner

  • Excellent written English skills with the ability to deliver high quality reports

  • Attention to detail and strong time-management skills

  • A strong desire to work in the insurance or management consulting industry

Academic Requirements

  • Minimum of three A-Levels (Or equivalent); Grades A – C

  • English Language and Mathematics GCSE; Grade C and above

Training & Support

You will be provided with support throughout your six months with us. At the end of the six months if you have performed well throughout, there is an opportunity to be offered a permanent role. With the permanent role you would be offered study support towards your CII.
