School leaver jobs in health and social care take many forms. You could do an Intermediate Apprenticeship as a support assistant, for example, or a care assistant. There are Advanced Apprenticeships available in positions like nursery assistant, and Higher Apprenticeships, which can be the equivalent of a foundation degree, are available for roles such as assistant practitioner, who works alongside other health professionals such as nurses, doctors, therapists and radiographers.
