You will quickly learn how to work on live legal matters and have contact with clients. You won’t be thrown in at the deep end; your training will be carefully planned and you will work in a supportive team environment but will be doing a real job and contributing to the DAC Beachcroft business.
As a paralegal apprentice you can expect to either be assisting lawyers with their caseload and working towards managing your own caseload of less complex files, with close supervision.
The Real Estate team is part of a highly regarded national Real Estate practice with over 130 lawyers. The lawyers and paralegals in the Manchester office advise a wide variety of clients from national housebuilders to shopping center owners and local developers and investors.
The role will involve a wide range of task based work, including preparing property searches a, drafting documents, undertaking research and general administration duties such as maintaining an effective electronic master file, preparing title and property information packs, liaising with clients and attending client meetings.

Requirements and Prospects
- Minimum of 112 UCAS points (B,B,C) from top 3 A Levels
- 5 GCSEs A*-C (4-9) including Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
- Strong IT skills including word processing and email
- Organisation skills
- Effective communication skills - in writing and in person
- Experience of Microsoft Office programmes desirable but not essential

As a Paralegal Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Paralegal Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. Additional learning within the apprenticeship will enable you to be awarded a Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Legal Services which can afford you exemptions from the first year of the Level 7 Solicitor Apprenticeship (providing Contract Law was chosen as the elective module).
Your apprenticeship shall be delivered by a blend of online and face-to-face training from BPP University Law School and on-the-job learning.
