This is a wonderful opportunity to learn from experienced Mechanical Fire Suppression engineers throughout your three year apprenticeship and beyond. During this time you will learn how to Install, service, test and commission Automatic Sprinkler systems to the relevant standards and to provide the highest level of customer service through the maximization of resources and sensitivity to costs and budgets. You will also fabricate, install and carry out repairs to Automatic Sprinkler system pipework and components. Attend callouts as and when required in order to meet customer demands and internal processes / Rota’s. During this apprenticeship path you will also attend college with the opportunity of gaining an industry recognized qualification.
Flexibility to adapt working hours to meet with customer requirements. Geographical area of responsibility with occasional travel across areas and the UK. Key contacts include but are not limited to: Customer Service Centre (CSC), Field Line manager – day to day reporting. Head of Service UK, Regional Operational Management, Sales Consultants – to review opportunities from existing or new business, Branch Admin, Eternal Customers, Builders, Surveyors, Clients Insurers etc. Ability to work at high level, carry out servicing and testing of all components. Carrying of materials, fabrication and testing of systems and components.
The successful apprentice will enrol on to an Advanced Mechanical Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship is 3 years in during which time you receive training on and off the job to build your knowledge and skills in the workplace.
Provide excellent Customer Service to meet the expectations and requirements of both the internal and external customers, establishing and maintaining effective relationships with customers.
To service, test and install the appropriate pipework / systems; dismantle and reconstruct equipment as required by the customer. Work safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation / service debris and waste correctly.
Follow and service / test and repair in accordance with relevant service standards.
Follow and install in accordance with relevant fabrication drawings / instructions.
Report and document fully any changes, deficiencies or deviations in systems.
Correctly complete Engineer work reports, handover certificates / pressure test certificates or checklist as appropriate.
Ability to adapt to various working environments, demonstrate ability to minimize risk and maintain a clean Health and Safety record.
Any other duties required in line with your Apprenticeship.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths, English, Science and a technical subject at grade 9-4 (A-C in old grading system) or level 2 equivalent
Full UK Driving license preferred
Clean driving license is preferred
Comfortable with lifting and climbing ladders
Comfortable to work at a high level when required
