Our Data Analytics apprentice will work alongside leading technology experts, Data Scientists, Business Analysts and Econometricians. 

Join our Data Analytics apprentice programme to discover the different ways our customer is enjoying all of their favourite shows. Over the two-year programme our apprentice will gain on the job experience while taking on varied roles, rising to unique challenges and working on the kind of exciting projects you just don’t find anywhere else. 

What you’ll be doing

Our vision is to make Sky more relevant to our customers and bring them more of what they love with the power of data. We’re working with technology partners like Google and Tableau to understand what people watch and help them navigate quickly to new content they’ll enjoy.

Join the team that manages data and transforms it into actionable insight that’s used to determine where the business goes. 

Get first-hand experience on industry leading technology projects and gather the information needed for the next big Sky Campaign. Change the way new products are recommended to customers and help Sky understand what makes its customers tick.  

  • Support the delivery of highly visible analytical and econometrics modelling projects, and lead on smaller scale assignments

  • Get hands-on experience of a range of techniques to shape analytical approaches, including forecasting, segmentation, predictive analytics, and machine learning (Natural Language Processing - NLP, risk analysis, Graph analytics-SNA)

  • Contribute to establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large scale data analyses, model development and implementation

  • Develop relationships with stakeholders to reach a deep understanding of their business areas.

•    Location is Brentwood, Essex
•    Expected start September 2021
•    Data Analyst Level 4 qualification
•    You will roll off this programme into a permanent position with Sky.
What we’re looking for

You’ll need a minimum of two GCSEs A* – C (or equivalent grades 9-4) if you’re applying for a role in England.

In addition, as part of the apprenticeship you will be required to evidence if you already have achieved Core skills (minimum of two GCSEs A* – C/ 9-4 grades, or equivalent, in English and Maths) through school or further education then you would not be required to repeat these. If you haven’t achieved them or cannot provide evidence then you will be required to achieve them as part of the programme.

Your application journey

Step 1 - Complete our short application form by entering your details and academic information. Once your application has been submitted, you’ll be invited to complete our immersive digital assessments. This may land in your junk folder so don’t forget to check it. Complete the assessments successfully and you’ll be considered for our assessment centre.

Step 2 - First digital assessment looks at your behavioural and cognitive strengths through several questions. 

Step 3 - In the second (and last) digital assessment, you will be required to review various sets of information and be asked questions related to this. Part of this stage will include a recorded video interview. But don’t worry there will be practice round. 

Step 4 - For the final stage of your application, we’ll invite you to a digital assessment centre and give you some tasks to get to know you better. The day will give you a practical insight into the role and will assess your technical aptitude.  Once you’ve completed your assessment day, we’ll let you know when you can expect to hear back from us.
