To stay competitive, companies often need to buy, sell, merge or restructure parts of their business. Join the EY Transaction Business Apprenticeship Programme and you’ll help organisations stay ahead of the competition while earning a great salary, gaining invaluable work experience and studying for a professional qualification.

What is Transactions at EY?

Economies are fuelled by competitive organisations who buy, sell, merge or restructure parts of their business with others. Our job is to help them do all that while making more informed decisions and building better strategies.

What will you be doing?

As part of our team, you’ll get straight to work on real client projects. Over the course of the programme you can expect to contribute to challenging assignments, learn how to make quick, practical decisions and work through problems with conviction in your process. You’ll also be:

• Identifying and understanding clients’ financial and operational issues and how their business and industry works

• Solving urgent and important problems as part of our Restructuring team

• Working autonomously alongside senior executives, lawyers and finance professionals

• Developing strong relationships with our clients

Throughout, you’ll study to become a qualified chartered accountant through the ICAEW in England or ICAS in Scotland, and have support from your team too. At the end of the programme, you’ll have gained professional qualifications, lots of practical experience and built a strong network of mentors and peers to help you keep developing.

Entry requirements

You’ll need to have completed three A-Levels, five Scottish Highers or the equivalent by the time the programme starts.

We close applications as soon as the set number of roles have been filled – so it’s best to apply sooner rather than later.
