We are seeking an organised, self-motivated and conscientious person who will enjoy working in a small team to support the delivery of internal audits for M&GPrudential. The successful applicant must be able to work to deadlines with a high level of attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

As an Internal Audit Apprentice, you will support the team in the delivery of a range of internal audits across M&GPrudential, in line with the objectives of the Annual Audit Plan.
Audits will include working with audit colleagues throughout the audit lifecycle - from planning stage, through to performing fieldwork testing and delivering reports. The role will also involve engaging with members of the business to identify opportunities for improvement in the processes and controls operated by them.
Your duties will include:
Collating and reviewing information on the business area being audited.
Analysing and interpreting information through face to face, email and other forms of data gathering practises used in the organisation.
Using flowcharts and write-ups to document the process reviewed and validating the process via a ‘walkthrough’. ‘Walkthrough’ includes meeting with management to review the policy, processes and standards related to the activity being audited and understand how the management operate a task/process.
Supporting the Audit team and Lead to perform tests to evaluate the effectiveness of controls operated by the management.
Supporting the Audit Lead in documenting working papers in conformance with agreed standards of practice.
Supporting the Audit team and Lead to validate test exceptions identified during fieldwork.
Supporting the Audit Lead in drafting internal audit reports and assisting with finalising the audit findings.
Working with the audit team and management to support effective completion of remediation activities.
Contributing to audit team initiatives.
Providing ad hoc administrative support to the team as required
As a Business Administration Apprentice with BPP, you will undertake the Business Administrator Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures, and face to face inductions and masterclasses.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Basic understanding of MS Office (Word, Power Point, Outlook)
Strong MS Excel skills
A proactive team player with a desire to learn who is confident about working independently
Logical and analytical approach coupled with intelligence, passion and a drive to learn

The role would ideally be suited to a school leaver with some prior ‘work’ or ‘voluntary’ experience, and with an interest in controls & governance and the discipline of internal auditing within a large organisation.
