BMW Group is a global organisation, designing and manufacturing motor vehicles of the highest quality, including the highly acclaimed MINI produced at Plant Oxford. One of the most important factors in keeping BMW and MINI at the forefront of the automotive industry is its customer satisfaction. This is where you could play a part. The start of customer satisfaction is to recruit the right people and offer them outstanding training with appropriate qualifications, together with continual personal development
We are currently seeking Apprentices to join us in August 2019. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with one of the world's most prestigious and technologically advanced car manufacturers and a major international company that is proud of its investment in people.
BMW Group Plant Swindon supplies the majority of the pressed panels that are then joined together to produce the familiar MINI 'shell'. The completed body is then passed to the Paint Shop in the next process step. Working in one of the largest functions within our business you’ll have a key role in delivering our current product range of vehicles to the highest standards to meet our customers’ expectations.
Our vehicles are packed with the latest technology. That's largely down to our teams of Engineering Technicians who develop, create and quality check our products and systems. Whilst training onsite, you will rotate around the business giving you the opportunity to work with teams in all areas of automotive manufacturing.
If you want to work in a fast-paced and exciting environment, this is the apprenticeship for you!
Apprenticeship Programme and Career Development
Training during your apprenticeship includes the study of state of the art automotive production technology as well as the latest innovations in manufacturing techniques, which are constantly developing in line with new emerging technologies. Advanced Manufacturing Engineering is a complex blend of skills and knowledge that are essential to ensuring every BMW product is manufactured to the exact tolerances and to the highest quality to meet our customer expectations. All of our apprenticeships are developed and supported to give you the skills to produce high quality vehicles and drive forward the business.
You will need to possess the physical dexterity to carry out precise work with small components and the mental ability to handle complex data calculations of all types, rapidly and with accuracy. When it comes to selecting the right people to become apprentices, it’s as much about attitude and behaviours as it is about technical skills. That is why in addition to the qualifications we require from you, we’ll also look for you to have a range of skills, attributes and behaviours. These include: teamworking, as well as being able to work without close supervision; quality focus and problem solving; excellent communication skills; enthusiasm and initiative; and responsibility and accountability for your work.
