We provide all our apprentices with the skills needed to become fully qualified and competent individuals with a secure vocation at Volvo. A Volvo trained apprentice will become a top class asset to our business for years to come, we like to invest well in our future.

Heavy Vehicle Advanced Apprenticeship Programme

This dedicated 3 year programme gives emphasis to electronics, diagnosis and computer management systems. All aspects of heavy vehicle technology are embedded in the programme. Most of your time you will spend in the dealership gaining hands-on experience and on the job training under the guidance of a trained mentor. During your 15 two week periods of residential training at the Volvo Training Academy you will cover technology in engines, transmissions and the latest electronic diagnostic techniques covering all vehicle systems.

Aftersales Advanced Apprenticeship Programme

This two year programme has a large emphasis on all aspects of stock management, product and motor vehicle knowledge, effective customer service techniques and having the ability to ensure the customers' needs are identified and expectations are exceeded. Most of your time will be spent learning on the job, under the guidance of a mentor, you will also receive 10 weeks in-depth residential training at the Volvo Training Academy, During your residential training at the Volvo Training Academy you will cover advanced stock management, motor vehicle and product knowledge, effective customer service skills and all aspects of the selling process.

Requirements

In order to enrol on the Volvo Truck Apprenticeship Programme, you will need to have good GCSE grades.
